Drum & Brain-Based Workshops & Programs For
After School | Summer Camps | Birthday Parties | Private Classes & Events
Workshops & Programs
Kids will develop foundational rhythm & drumming skills, using movement, empowering language, and fun neuroplasticity exercises. They will increase and improve their motor function, visual and auditory perception skills, language skills, executive functions, and social-emotional skills.
These exercises will also help kids build autonomy and cultivate self-confidence.
We offer individual workshops for camps, schools, community centers, and private events.
In these 1 to 2 hour workshops children will experience some of the fun drumming and neuroplasticity exercises and games that we teach in our all-inclusive 8-week programs.
We offer 8-week programs that are specially designed to cultivate and improve skills that are essential for healthy child development, in an environment that fosters a joy of learning and a positive mindset about facing challenges.
These programs are available for groups and individual sessions.

Based in New York City, she is a fixture on the local scene where she puts on multi-sensory performances, hosts in-person and online workshops, and is in constant demand as a professional percussionist.
Elizabeth Chavez is a mind-body wellness and self-defense instructor, and a special education teacher. She holds a Master's Degree in Education for students with special needs and abilities.
She taught for six years at a middle school in the South Bronx, and she is currently an instructor for Brain Power Wellness, which teaches physical, emotional and cognitive exercises to improve focus, mindfulness, emotional wellness, and physical health.
She has a background in Krav Maga, brain training, social-emotional intelligence, yoga, qigong, tai chi, sound healing, and meditation.
I have known Carolina for years and have been amazed at what an incredible drummer she is and how she uses that gift to inspire others. Her energy easy translates to work with kids and it has been an honor having her Drumawané workshop come to my camps and private programs. Part percussion workshop, part exploration of self-love, but always all fun, everyone who participates seems to lose themselves in the energy of the workshop.
Drumanawé is beneficial for both kids and adults, as a reminder to trust ourselves, believe in ourselves, and let it all out in the drums! I can’t wait to have them back again and again.
Founder & Director, Shine
“My kids thoroughly enjoyed the workshop experience at my son's birthday party. It was so nice for them to have the musical experience and another way of expressing themselves.
They were able to exercise their cognitive and physical abilities. The energy was so great and it was amazing to see how engaged my children were in the workshop being that they are ages 3 and 4. They knew what was happening and really had a wonderful experience.”
Teacher & Mother
“My children had such a great time during the Drumanawé workshop. They were engaged in the activities and had so much fun. They each got to try the drums out and my daughter was saying "I can do this!", which is one of the positive affirmations they were teaching during the workshop. I recommend this program to parents because it promotes positive self-awareness.”
